going to back us up just a little bit here and talk about this cover because all of these smallville early you know again the what are we calling the the tie-in comics the comics that were going when the show was ongoing all of them had the kind of like photoshoppy cover thing using gallery photos or stills or whatever of the the actors as the characters This cover in particular, and I think a couple of them for this early run, was done by John Van Fleet, who I only know because he was going to do the cover of the Birds of Prey comic that got canceled before it could actually happen.

But somehow it got out there that he was going to be the cover artist on this.

And he was at San Diego one year.

And I talked to the guy about it and just kind of asked him about doing all of these.

And of course, Birds of Prey.

And he was just like,

Yeah.

Yes, yes, my love.

Yeah, what are you doing? Yeah.

And like, Lex is out of town, and she's in like full Lex land, and has to kinda rely on the gang again to get through it for a second.

I can't imagine being a staff writer on a show like this where you're, you're on such an incredible timeline and doing 22 episodes a year, but it didn't feel like they found the right like Smallville-ification of that.

It, it's also like, like if you're trying to push the envelope, if you're trying to do some like edgy stuff sometimes, sometimes you're gonna go too far and you're gonna miss.

And especially to what you're saying, Victoria, like doing 22 a year, that's to be expected.

And sometimes, and sometimes Smallville spit facts.
