we hope that they've got it in them and that that is a constant that they can get to maybe expectations are slightly too high based on what we saw last year maybe teams have got wise to these players and know how to deal with us and our system but all that said let's not panic we're two points away from an automatic promotion spot but i'm sure like many i can't help thinking that we should possibly be five points clear

Feeling very deflated and a little bit depressed after that performance today.

I think to come away with a 2-1 defeat is absolutely galling to such a poor, poor Shrewsbury side.

I think they were as bad as Crawley, didn't want to play football, constantly fouling and delaying and time-wasting, and they just had nothing, really.

And we gifted them a couple of goals.

One, the first one, you know, Andy Cook leaves his man at the back post, doesn't stay with him as the ball comes back in.

The squad has come a long way in the past year, which is particularly fitting on a day we remember Alex Hughes.

So, a well-deserved win to start the season off, but could have been more.

I think a little scrappy at times, particularly in the first half, and definitely in the second, we just needed to be a bit more clinical.

A good number of chances that we just didn't take, I think, you know.

Some of the players almost trying too hard, Andy Cook trying to be a bit more certain of getting his shot on target when he was through on goal and the keeper was out of position and Morgan after he sort of cut inside and then also beating his defender for the header almost saw his name in lights I think and just got a bit carried away.

But I think that'll improve with time as we get into the season.

Players developed fitness.

Mm-hmm.

But how am I going to do that? Um, the smaller the company, the less aggressive those things need to, the SOPs need to be.

You're gonna build three estimates.

You're gonna build one for sales, one for ballpark, one we're gonna contract.

You need to have cost codes.

You need to have standard cost items.

You need to have trade bids.

But it is a huge unlock to making sure that projects are being handed off more at, at an A grade versus a C grade.
