Yeah, I, I guess I was, I was just interested, Lisa, about your journey, where you're at a kind of final part of your systemic training and what that's been like and kind of, um, integrating systemic ideas to your current practice and current modality, and, um, yeah, what have you... what are some of the things you've noticed about your, your kind of journey with that?
16:51
Yeah.
16:51
I think that this has definitely been a work in progress for me, um, because like I was saying earlier on, you know, I have the core foundational skills and experience of using the more humanistic psychodynamic and CBT from the counseling psychology side, as well as some existential and Gestalt.
17:07
And so then adding on the layer of systemic, and understandably in systemic training, you know, we're wanting to focus mainly on systemic.
17:14
Um, so I think for me it's trying to find a way that's congruent to be able to integrate the two, which doesn't lose necessarily the systemic, because obviously that's what I'm, I'm training to be a systemic psychotherapist.
17:26
But also recognizing that using those other approaches are part and parcel of the way that I tend to work as well.
17:32
So finding, I guess like I was saying earlier as well, going back to that AMT level, you know, if I use system, uh, systems theory as the kind of approach level, some of the techniques I might do might incorporate some of those person-centered ideas, some of those, um, Gestalt ideas, but then ultimately you'd be able to see it as working systemically because I'm thinking about the interconnectedness of the rat- relational patterns, the meaning making, the context.
