Uh, okay.

Hey, I'm Liam, and I found out about Hypothesis through my journey as an academic and throughout my PhD.

Um, I w- was an undergrad at the University of Maryland, and I knew that I wanted to do a PhD in computer science.

And so the thing that you do when you know you wanna do a PhD is go do undergraduate, uh, undergraduate research, uh, because what really matters to getting into a good graduate school is that your advisor writes you a really good letter of recommendation.

Like, they, they want to know that you can actually do research, which is a remarkably different skill than getting good grades in undergrad or anything like that.

And so I go look at the CS professors at the University of Maryland and go read some of their papers and pick out what looks interesting to me, and there was this professor at UMD called Leonidas Empropus.

And he had a paper on coverage-guided property-based testing.
