Hi, I'm David McKeever.

Uh, I wrote the original version of Hypothesis and got this whole mess started, I guess.

So Hypothesis originally came about because, uh, I was in the process of switching jobs, and, uh, in the course of switching jobs, I had to learn to use this new programming language called Python that I'd not written previously.

And, uh, I wanted to have a learning Python project, and I'd previously used QuickCheck and ScalaCheck a little bit.

And so I was, like, medium familiar with property-based testing, like, not a huge, uh, not hugely experienced, not a huge fan, but, like, I liked it, I'd used it, and it seemed like a good p- uh, project.

So I just threw together a little implementation of it in Python, put it up on PyPI, and, um, mostly forgot about it.
