Does it feel good to have lots sort of going on? Are you feeling busy?
79:54
Yeah, it's crazy.
79:55
Yeah, I just had a really hectic week in Australia doing Big Sound and then jumped on stage at One Night Stand, which is a Triple J festival with Genesis Owusu.

If you haven't played on the station, you should definitely check him out.
80:09
He's incredible.
80:10

And then what can you tell us about the song itself and the process of making that?
80:55
So this track, it's a really old collaborator of mine, Nick Littlemore, who is from an Aussie band called Empire of the Sun and Pinau as well.

so this record is kind of that it's like this it's a bit of a high energy yeah almost like a rebirth I think of myself and uh embracing who I was in the past um because I'm 12 years sober so embracing that old side of me that really lived life to the fullest and to the extreme and then embracing this new side of me which is like I'm finally comfortable in who I am and I'm a mum and I'm in my 40s and I'm like you know what like I our generation was I got told I was too old when I was in my 20s and I had to lie about my age I got told I couldn't be gay I couldn't like show be seen with my girlfriend at the time like all that sort of stuff and now I'm like at this calm sort of center in my life where like I don't feel any of those things anymore I just I just don't care like that I'm just like I just want to do my thing and like make music and and you know yeah share this journey anyway yeah so this is the long blurb for my what my record is like awesome yeah so

all good

um yeah i it when when i was first sort of coming up in the music it's such a weird thing to say but when i was like you know, getting buzz around my demos as Lady Hawk.
36:23
I remember not, I knew nothing about, I'd always been in indie bands and like, you know, I was a guitarist and teenager with Nick Littlemore and I was sort of always more so behind the scenes, you know, like I did all the, you know, the road trips and the tours and all that stuff, but I was never, I never had to deal with labels or anything like that, or managers.
36:43
It was always someone else did it.
36:47
So I guess when I first got introduced to record labels and when they first started showing me they saw me as a product, I thought that was how it was.
36:58
I didn't know any different.
