So I recently made a video about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints telling Mormon Stories podcast to change their logo.

Well, yesterday I learned that the church also reached out to my friend D. Vaize over at Mormon News Roundup, telling him that he needs to get rid of the word Mormon on his channel, and he's not the only one.

The church has also reached out to creators like Radio Free Mormon and Mormon Discussions, saying that actually they own the word Mormon because they own the trademark.

Now, I don't know anything about trademarks, but I learned yesterday that if you own a trademark but don't use it, it can fall back into the public domain.

This is known as trademark abandonment, and it means what it sounds like.

If the owner doesn't use it and has no intention of using it, it once again becomes public.

Just the world, [laughs] world has gone to pot and the saviors went with it.

What was I-- that really special was we always talked about my grandpa and Lou.

They definitely glossed over talking about my other great uncle, Ernst.

But I thought what was really cool was them being able to talk about Jenny and her story, because I feel like we always talk about my grandpa.

But because we don't have a lot of information about the rest of his family, I never really heard anything, like-- and to be talked about, like, her.
