4:27
And that made it really scary for me.
4:30
cool yeah i i mean i pretty much think this is a perfect movie i uh i love it so much um And I don't think I even really took notes this time.
4:42
I just kind of sat and enjoyed it and took it all in, but tried to look for stuff.
4:47
But I mean, even the stuff that I don't think is great about it, I think it's been pointed out and I still think overall ad, it doesn't matter because it still looks so great on, even if it doesn't really make sense in the real world.
4:59
That's pretty much the only qualms I have with it, but I'll get into those in those sections.

5 MINS LATER

10:20
and and the music is great and jamie lee curtis is great but i'm going to say donald pleasance too like without him this movie would not be as good either because he really added a lot to this film i thought
10:31
yeah i want to touch on that just because i always loved the character but it was something i really notice this time along around to like talk about but i think what's interesting about him is so many movies will have it's kind of archetypes where they'll have the skeptic logical person like only only deals in like medical talking ways and stuff or the like uh... person talking about how it's like supernatural this evil and i'd really enjoyed that he's doing both like he is a man of medicine but he's like oh this guy is pure evil.
11:05
I think that's a really interesting choice.
4:23
well guys what did you think of it josh tell us first watch
4:27
i mean yeah i loved it i uh it was great i do have my one issue i'll say is with the with the tagline that there can be only one i don't know if i agree with it it's really just the seems to be the one guy who's going around and murdering everybody i feel like are the main guys like he's was okay to just live and not have fights

17 MINS LATER

21:52
And he wasn't quite keeping up to Christopher Lambert, but I thought it was pretty impressive.
21:57
One of my favorite things, too, is I thought, especially for an 80s movie and like, I don't know, action sci-fi, whatever you want to call it.
22:04
Pretty cool female lead.
22:07
I liked her.
22:08
I liked that they like her motivations because of her job.
22:11
She was interested in like, hey, how come this out of place artifact shouldn't exist? I thought that was kind of an interesting way to write her into the story rather than just have her a side character that didn't really have any motivations.
5:31
Josh, what do you think of this movie?
5:32
Well, I think I do like get pulled in by Richard Pryor on most things.
5:38
I didn't think this movie was great by any stretch, but I did.
5:42
think that him in it like I thought he pulled the heart out of it pretty good like I I think the big difference between this and the other one we did was soul man as we pointed out that like oh this one was clearly written by all white men yeah where I feel like at least Richard Pryor probably had some input on this yeah so maybe it was handled a little bit better but yeah I did like I had very little notes I did a refresher watch and I was like, oh, I didn't come up with any more notes.

45 MINS LATER

51:34
Mine's terrible.
51:36
My favorite one that always comes back is there's an episode of...
51:41
The movie's called Night Club with a K. It's a movie from, I think, 2001 about how hard... uh the life of a bouncer is and the culture of bouncing and it's so fucking funny because they play it like straight in this movie
0:00
I can't handle this podcast.
0:01
I can't, I can't be on this.
0:03
[upbeat music]

25 MINS LATER

25:48
You are fired.
25:48
Oh, [laughs] "I was trying to trick you." So funny.
25:52
Yeah, and I think for me, like, the standout has to be John Malkovich going in and the plane.
25:58
I just like, love the idea of them being like, "How many different ways can you only say Malkovich, but convey so many different emotions?" I thought that was great.
26:08
Well done.
AnthonyGUEST
3:27
Josh, you want to go first? I see a grin
3:29
forming.
3:30
Sure.
3:31
So this gave me a chance to finally watch a DVD that I own that has been on my shelf and I've been meaning to watch for a long time.
3:38
Nice.
3:41
I enjoyed it, but it was a little slower than I was expecting.
3:48
I was kind of shocked.

25 MINS LATER

AnthonyGUEST
28:53
infinitely better.
19:07
I did notice that, yep.
19:08
[laughs] I, uh, I...
19:11
Oh, man.
19:12
I, yeah, it just, the...
19:13
For me, it w- all the bad stuff was the editing, like Matthew said.
19:17
Like, how much time passed? No significant, like, showing how much time passed during any of the training montage.
19:25
How long was he there? When was it each, like he just, it flipped from one scene to the next scene, nothing in between to indicate anything.

8 MINS LATER

27:21
[laughs]
50:49
So for an average golfer who wants to hit the driver better, what are some of the big mistakes you see in their technique or practice habits or whatnot? What kind of advice can you give them to maybe hit the ball out of bounds a little less often?
51:05
Yeah, you know, excuse me, the majority of golfers slice the golf ball, right? And I love diving deep into this stuff.
51:11
And Murray, we could talk technique all day.
51:15
But the one, the lowest hanging fruit for most amateur golfers is a lack of rotation at the top.
51:22
And when you don't turn very well, you come over the top or outside in and often hit that pole slice that... just finds itself out of bounds right quite often or short right or wherever that might be on the golf course you're playing.
51:35
So turning in the backswing is like one of the most important things I think that a golfer can do.
51:43
I was at a conference a long time ago and Peter Costas was actually presenting and someone asked him, Peter, what's the most important What is the most common thing that all great players do? And that was Peter Costas' answer.
53:30
And so what are the biggest mistakes you see amateur golfers making on these shorter putts? And do you have any drills or tips to help people get better at that?
