You can pick up the new GM screen, reference cards, dice, coins, and more at shop.limithron.com. um i digress joe yes tell us about the encounter atlas tell i know we kind of talked about it when when you're on uh during garycon but what what'd you think about this project what are your some of your some of your highlights
15:32
uh i thought it was super interesting i thought it was super challenging after i really got into doing it uh after i got started so the challenge was here are 50 maps and these maps included you know beaches ships all the things that we just saw all the shops all the interiors of different buildings and the challenge was to create adventure content or inspirations that matched up exactly with what was going on in each of those maps.
15:54
Because Luke was joking about the fact that if he accidentally draws a book on a desk, then someone is going to see that on the map and say, oh, what's that book on that desk? And then the GM has to figure it out.
16:03
But I was writing the adventure content to match up with the art in the map.
16:08
So I could actually say exactly what was in the book on the desk.
16:11
So I could save that GM.
16:12
That's perfect.

19 MINS LATER

35:37
you know, it's like, no,
12:34
You should give the pitch.
12:35
Oh, my God.
12:36
If you've read book two of The Dark Com- of The Black Company series, Shadows Linger, then you know where I stole this idea.
12:42
There is, out on a battlefield, lots of dead bodies, and suddenly there's a large white building taking shape, growing up out of the ground.
12:49
There are occultists pulling dead bodies out of the ground, taking them inside, and they never come out again.
12:53
There are occultists also buying dead bodies, and maybe not so dead bodies, to take inside of this white building that's growing and growing.
13:00
In the heart of the white building is a void gate, which is not a stargate, for IP reasons.

6 MINS LATER

18:39
Yeah.
4:19
Mm-hmm.
4:19
There needs to be some kind of ability to have a conclusion at the end, whether that's finding something, or finding someone, or helping someone, or killing something.
4:26
There should be a, a satisfactory feeling of completion that the, the players, "I've, I struggled through all these things, I overcame all of these obstacles.
4:33
I've achieved something now, and I get to tell a story to my friends.
4:35
'Hey, we had this cool experience at the table.' "

16 MINS LATER

20:51
Mm
20:51
... which just seems appropriate somehow.
20:53
You make a giant list. And then you start organizing that into an outline.
