Or is that not in the right vein for Shadowdark?

It's, it's such a good question.

It's one I kind of am constantly reevaluating because, uh, like- It, actually in the material I'm writing or finishing up right now for the Western Reaches, there is sort of like a soft, um, domain, like system incorporated, and it's, it's pulled back enough that it's not meant to turn into like you're building a fiefdom or something.

It's like you have a, at most you could have a castle, and you could trick out the castle and store, um, small standing armies there called war bands.

Um, but it kind of stops at the point of becoming like a bookkeeping endeavor, um, because the point is that you're, you need to still adventure to supply the, the resources you have with enough gold.

You have to pay your armies and you have to pay to upkeep your castle, and so the only real way to get access to those resources is through s- individual group adventuring.

But I think as soon as you make the jump to, like, collecting income from your lands or your people, you're suddenly playing domain management.

And, uh, I'd like to hear.

I think it's gonna ship in the summer, so we're, we're rounding the bend on writing.

There's really only one book that needs large chunks of the writing completed, and necessarily it was the Game Master's Guide, because everything that came before it informs it.

So I'm look- I'm, I just paid a, I just paid an import bill on a, a restock today of Shadowdark books.
