I seem to have been doing this for so long and it's so good.
0:10
I don't know if many of you remember back at the AFL place.
0:14
Can you remember that far back? Some of you can.
0:16
Have a wonderful day.
0:19
I was preaching recently at another church, a church that I had a lot to do with over many years, like Bridgie, and they gave me this sort of welcome like that and applause and there was a nice, warm round of applause, appreciation for me coming and preaching.

But there was a guy in the front row that stood up in the middle of that, and started to really clap really, really loudly, and I didn't even recognise him, you know, so I thought, gosh, he really must have been touched by my ministry, you know, isn't that wonderful, you know, so I went up afterwards to find him, you know, I thought I'd better find out how much impact I've had on this guy, and And I found him and I said, I said, oh, look, I'm not even sure who you are.
14:07
John, in your time in the force, would you be in favour of drug testing for members?
14:13
Yeah, thanks very much for having me on, Andrea.
14:16
Now, my time in the force, I started in the early 90s and I, you know, I spent most of my career in, you know, a specialized area, so I wasn't frontline policing.
14:27
But, you know, I would be in favor of drug testing.
14:31
You know, it's a high-risk job.
14:34
And, you know, especially the frontline members, you don't know what you're facing into every day.
14:41
So you have to be, your judgment has to be there.
15:23
Yeah, well, it can only
3:43
After the incident happens, you're there.
3:45
Yeah, I've been on a couple of jobs where, you know, you were kind of a little bit on edge.
3:51
I remember one particular job down in Limerick at the height of the kind of McCarty-Dundon feud down there.
3:58
And, like, we were working away at the scene, but in the background we could see, like, armed Gardaí were there to protect us.
4:05
You know, that was kind of unnerving.
4:07
Another job we were sent out on, it was a big, oh, it was, nobody told us what it was.
4:14
It was a secret thing or something, which is unusual.
