So Starting off then, for those that maybe don't know you, or like myself, who maybe don't have any social media presence, how did you get into what you've been into with sports journalism, and what is it that you cover entirely with the South Korean side of the football scene?

Yeah, so I just want to clarify something.

I'm not an official journalist.

I'm more of a content creator.

But I understand that a lot of what I do overlaps with journalism.

So a lot of people mistake me for a journalist.

There was a point in time where I was considering seriously pursuing sports journalism.

So how long do you think it's going to take Kim Min-soo to adapt to the demands of Scottish football? Because it is high paced, high intensity, very physical.

Where did Kim Min-soo first come onto your radar? And what is it in particular that caught your attention about him? He first

came onto my radar in Spain.

I mean, you hear these days more and more Korean young kids moving to Europe to invest themselves, either in Germany or in Spain or in any other European countries.

And so you hear these prospects, you hear these developing young footballers.

And then Kim Min-soo was very unique because he was following the path of another Korean star, someone who's very well known, Lee Kang-in, who now plays for Atletico, the first Asian, East Asian to play for.

and one of the top three La Liga clubs, Atletico.

And so we've all been following Kangin from a very young age.

100%.

What, what can he do to break defenses down? What have you seen from him?

I mean, to me, Kim Min-tae really has a complete package for an offensive player.

He, he is a dynamic winger.

His pace is incredible for his age.

He just moves at a different speed on the pitch.

I believe that he's gonna challenge a lot of, uh, a lot of, uh, SPL teams just with his pace alone.

They're, they're not gonna be able to stop him.

So can you explain a little bit about that, please?

Um, but the Rangers fans, should they be getting excited at this boy?

I think so.

I really think so.

I think you guys have, um...

I don't wanna say a steal, because y- you're paying considerably 10 million euros for someone who is not proven in the sense of having shown, you know, statistics and, and, and, and, and, you know, uh, his contributions on, on a senior level stage i- you know, for a team like Rangers.

But there are so many teams that were after this guy, not just Rangers.

Um, and so I was actually really surprised to hear that Rangers were the ones who were so aggressive, and I was, I was actually surprised Kim, uh, said yes to the Rangers.

Yeah

You have the privilege of entering into the living room of people simply because

becauseThey trust you as a pastor and they want to hear what your wisdom is.

And though weak, I think it's a wonderful calling and I do hope that people do think and pray about the possibility of the Lord taking you somewhere.

I, I'm not going to say come to my seminary.

I'm simply saying go and think about ministry and serve, uh, the church in that way.

I think it'd be a wonderful thing.

But the three elements I think are essential to entering into pastoral ministry and really essential, as Derek was saying, to surviving in pastoral ministry.

Pastors are my heroes.

But right now, here's Reverend Kim.

Romans chapter 8, verses 31 through 39, as we attempt to answer the question, who is God? Hear now the word of the Lord.

"What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son but gave Him up for us all, how will He not also with Him graciously give us all things? Who shall bring any charge against God's elect? It is God who justifies.

Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died.

More than that, who was raised, who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us.

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation or distress or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written, 'For your sake, we are being killed all the day long.

We are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.' No, in all these things we are more than conquerors.

I'm blessed to be born into a believing family and also into a pastor's family.

And so I'm what they call a PK, a pastor's kid.

Why is that important as we walk with Christ in our daily lives?

Colossians begins interestingly enough because it fronts what it believes to be the central theological concept that you and I need to understand and apply to our lives as well.

And it begins in verse two in chapter one by saying, "To the saints and faithful brothers in Christ at Colossae." Now, in English, the preposition change is in Christ at Colossae.

Two locations is what they are understanding.

But here in the original, it has in Christ and in Colossae.

And what makes it even more interesting is that in the original, those two prepositions are separated, enveloping the whole sentence.

That is, you are in Christ and you are in Colossae.

Uh, there are so many other Christian doctrines that we can learn in this short letter, right?

Reverend Kim, what does Jesus mean when he says, "Where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them"?

Oftentimes, that Matthew eighteen verse is utilized to indicate the presence of God in the gathering of God's people.

I've been a part of a number of church plants, and in many parts of the world also, there are occasions when you cannot gather as Christians.

And so you literally are sitting with two and three other people to worship the Lord, often quietly so others cannot hear.

And it's encouragement in many ways to be able to say that the Lord is present even among the gathering of two or three people.

As meaningful as that is, and I think as accurate as that is in terms of its biblical understanding of the Lord's presence among his people, that text probably is not referring to the gathering of God's people for worship in particular.

We talk about in seminaries the right doctrine from the wrong text.
