Mm.
12:42
There's just the part of the people that are on the set and getting to experience what it's like to see this, like, you know, the, the lightning in, in the bottle part of it, the, um, agitation of, of, you know, real creativity coming to life, and getting to be around it is one thing, which is great.
12:56
But also, uh, when it starts to come to life in the game and we see, you know, the carbon-based life forms get injected into that digital space, into the virtual space, it, it changes everything.
13:05
I think of those times when people go, "Yo, that scene." They may not even be aware of what we're doing, and then suddenly it comes online and recontextualizes all the work they're doing.

Correct.
27:30
And to be able to see her world, to have Price brought into it in a certain way, uh, to be able to see what she is like when she's doing her work, when she's not on her back foot, when she's, uh, you know, uh, allied with, with somebody, and then get to experience what it's like to be a partner with her.
13:32
Um, how-- what kind of, what kind of opportunities from a storytelling perspective does that open up for you?
13:38
Man, I, you know, it's not without its challenges, but this to us was just a tremendous, um, door opening to be able to, um, tell a variety of different, um, threads of the same story and sort of link them with a, a theme.
13:57
Um, and to us, this was all about, um, the 2019, uh, re-imagining of what the series was and the log line there, um, that Price says to, uh, to Gaz, um, "You draw the line where you need it." And, um, that is basically explored, um, in one way or another through all of the different characters, no matter who they are, whether they're a seasoned Special Forces operator like, uh, like Ghost, um, someone who is, um, you know, AWOL and an operator turned outlaw like John Price, uh, all the way over to, um, uh, Park, who is, um, you know, again, a, a mandatorily conscripted, um, Korean grunt who at the beginning of this game would, would rather be doing something else with his life.
14:46
Um, he doesn't have a choice to be in the place that he's at, um, but he's forced to draw his line where he needs it, um, when he's thrown into, into conflict.
14:55
And many shades in between, we have the biggest cast that we've ever assembled, um, and so many different perspectives that, that explore the theme, what does it mean to draw the line where you need it? Um, what, what does it mean to try to do the right thing, um, in a variety of different circumstances? Um, and what happens if you, uh, push the line? What happens if you, uh, don't know if you are, you know, on the right side of the line?

Um, so, you know, I, I guess sort of to, to wrap things up, um, is what are you most excited or proud of from a narrative perspective for Modern Warfare IV? You know? Wha- what's, what's in there that, that has, you know, Jeff, like, really, really pumped about the game?
21:51
You know, there's, there's a lot in this game that makes me excited, and as a person who's made a few of these, um, it's, it's saying something because, um, I, I really am looking for something that's gonna make somebody who, like, knows what this is, um, maybe think twice about it or, or maybe, um, you know, give someone a different perspective about something.
22:19
I think the thing that I'm most excited about in it is the fact that we have this central theme that you can point to throughout all of these stories and still at the same time have such a different, um, uh, mode to pl- through which to play it, a, a different experience of what it means to be exploring that same exact theme.
