Jeff KeicherGUEST
And I would go to the continuing trend of removing the consumer from the pricing, right? And when we look and see, my father-in-law was very blessed to step away from his work and retire at an earlier age, 55 years old, but he had to because he had Crohn's disease.

Jeff KeicherGUEST
And at the time, Crohn's was specifically excluded because it was a preexisting condition.

Jeff KeicherGUEST
And when he went in for a procedure, he went up to the doc and he said, hey, can you tell me how much this procedure is going to cost? Because I need to self-pay.

Dave SyversonGUEST
uh we had one employer as a quick example we had one employer that wanted to help improve uh their their wellness outcomes and so we said well there's an easy way to do that uh starting january one uh everyone pays a hundred dollars a month more for their health insurance until they bring a receipt in that they've had their complete wellness exam and lo and behold within 60 days they had 100 turnout uh so um We have to be able to develop plans and get legislators to understand they come up with these ideas because it's best practice or some consultant that's never lived in the real world came up with an idea, but they need to spend time in the real world talking with insurance people that are on the front line and really understanding what works and what doesn't work if we want to get serious about trying to address this and keeping affordable, best care in the world available.

Jeff KeicherGUEST
Y- listen, I, I think anybody that's driving around the Illinois area knows, especially the Chicago metropolitan area, our, our tollways are in, in grave need of update and overhaul.

Jeff KeicherGUEST
But to drop this much of a toll increase, and not to do it periodically over the, over the period of years, it's just, it's beyond.

Jeff KeicherGUEST
Uh, and we, we have seen so much activity around this transit issue that's going on, and honestly, this, this toll hike was already baked when they passed the transportation bill in, uh, November of last year.

Jeff KeicherGUEST
So it was already coming, and, uh, it was really more of a pro forma, and I think that's where my anger for, for the governor and some of the Democratic functionaries came from, is they, they could've been more transparent about it.

Jeff KeicherGUEST
They could've said, "Hey, listen, this is already gonna happen." Instead, they went around the Chicagoland area and told people they could have input.
Ray StevensHOST
Um, hey, before I cut you loose this morning, I, uh, where do you think we, uh, have to go with this, uh, ethics, uh, scandal with, uh, Harry Benton? I mean, uh, you know, who knew what? You have to look at, uh, uh, Speaker Welch, uh, don't you? W- will anything come of this, or it's just another thing that just goes away?
