And, I mean, what you guys teach out there is just, you know – immeasurable what you guys do oh

yeah it's it's way more than basketball basketball obviously is the uh the main focus but uh during the course of the week they may have a financial literacy class we've got a mini medical camp coming up uh on friday where folks from the medical community come in and show the kids a different uh avenue uh for you know their careers if they were so to choose uh we have um life skills exercises, a lot of interactive stuff.

We have a truck that comes in.

It's called School for Tools.

They get a chance to use their hands and build things and all of this stuff.

I think it's just important when we have youngsters at this impressionable stage of their lives that we show them all that we can, and we encourage them to exercise their minds while they exercise their physical capabilities.

How do you think the Pistons are going to do this year, and what does the LeBron James going to Philadelphia deal do for the East right now? I think the

East is really strong right now.

How would you defend Victor Wembanyama?

I think probably the best way to try to defend him is to continue to try and entice him to hit his jump shot, hit his three-pointer with a hand up.

Don't go for the pump fake.

A lot of guys go for the pump fake.

Why would you go for the pump fake if a guy's 7'4"? You're not blocking his shot.

Stay down.

When you go for the pump fake, that's when he will drive by you and can get to the basket and get to the free-throw line and everything else.

Do you think we're ever going to see a player willing to do the granny shots?

They know what each one brings to the table collectively, and I think that's been one of the biggest reasons they've also had success.

Davy Bickerstaff and his, his, uh, assistants are, are to be, um, uh, applauded for that.

Uh, when he came in, he quickly established the roles that each guy would need to play in order for this team to be successful.

Everybody knew the lead guy was Cade.

Uh, Jalen Duren has made tremendous strides to become the second- secondary guy, the second scorer.

And, uh, bringing in veterans like Tobias Harris and, uh, and Duncan Robinson to do their thing.

I'll take it even back last year with Tim Hardaway Jr., with Malik Beasley, and even David- Dennis Schroder late in the year.

What were your impressions of, of Jaden as a person and, and how do you think this whole mini-controversy's gonna affect his NBA future?
