I think probably the best way to try to defend him is to continue to try and entice him to hit his jump shot, hit his three-pointer with a hand up.

Why would you go for the pump fake if a guy's 7'4"? You're not blocking his shot.

Stay down.

When you go for the pump fake, that's when he will drive by you and can get to the basket and get to the free-throw line and everything else.
