People in my part of the world probably don't know much of what Australia is involved in.

Well, we've got the famous nine-dash line of the Chinese South China Sea area, the first island chain, the second island chain, and I referenced Scarborough Shoal and various other parts.

But the latest is that China has built up near the sort of Vietnam area.

There's basically a whole lot of islands, Spratly, Scarborough, all this kind of area that China says is theirs.

The international naval, the UN law of the sea, has come down and said no they're not yours but china determines that they're not going to recognize this and they're just going out there and developing them and uh this is where you've got the philippines with their rust bucket old ship that they ran aground on one one reef And as they go and try and resupply it, the Chinese Coast Guard is out there with water cannons.

There was a classic video last year of a Chinese naval ship and Coast Guard ship trying to intercept and pretty much look like they were trying to ram a Philippine Navy ship, except they ran into each other.
