morning memory was all these world leaders calling in.

Starting with Koizumi, the Japanese prime minister.

It was an ironic phone call since our fathers fought each other.

And this guy's calling to tell me that we're going to stand in mutual defense of our countries and defend our freedoms.

But yeah, no, it was...

Step one is to find out who did it.

And that became what became known as the freedom agenda.

Mm-hmm.

W- Will the American dream touch every willing heart? And, and that's why I'm spending so much time on talking about local control of schools and high standards, blowing the whistle on failure, battling a, battling a standstill e- in some places, a standstill education system that, uh, that leaves children behind.

And I talk about, uh, uh, ushering in what I call the responsibility era, and a com- key component of that is to rally the Armies of Compassion, which exist all across your city and state, that help change lives one person at a time.

It not, e- e- education for children means more than just reading and writing and adding and subtracting.

It means, uh, teaching the d- children the difference between right and wrong-

Do you, uh, do you also, uh, uh, subscribe to the school of thought that more money spent on education does not necessarily result in better academic achievement?

Oh, absolutely, I do.

Uh, I believe that, uh, I believe that oftentimes, the, the, the, the issue is the, uh, structure of education.
