Elizabeth Frost

Sep 3, 2026

11:12
So coming up next, our conversation with Maha.
11:33
My name is Elizabeth Frost.
11:36
I am a co-founder of Maha Ohio.
11:39
We started Maha Ohio as three people who worked on the Kennedy campaign and felt a need and almost an obligation to take the energy and just this grassroots momentum that we built on the Kennedy campaign and channel that into where we had opportunity.

15 MINS LATER

26:56
What do you, what do you make of all this?
26:58
Yeah, so I think a lot of great questions in there.
27:03
When it comes to the MAHA-MAGA alliance, I think in the moment when Kennedy dropped out of the race, what people who were really committed and focused on the issues we're all thinking is, where do we go from here? You know, you have all of this...
27:26
energy.
36:36
Elizabeth Frost, you had a thought.
36:36
thought. When I think about some of the things I'm, I'm hearing in, with applications of AI in college today, it really strikes me how much it seems to have changed since I was in college.
36:49
And, you know, I think, um, Michael and I are kind of like the ripe [laughs] Gen Z-ers in the room.
36:56
But, um, I also took advantage of a program, um, that allowed me to go to college, um, my junior and senior year of high school.
37:07
So my years were 2015 to 2019, I believe.
37:13
Um, and so at that time, um, especially in my community, the tone about college was very much like, "Go, get it done," you know, take advantage of, um, you know, the state grants and things that you can get while doing it in high school because there's not a lot of opportunity in the, in, you know, Appalachia and in a lot of other communities, especially rural communities.
37:36
And so there was this massive incentive, but also a push.

18 MINS LATER

55:25
it requires years of training, and once you do it, you're a craftsman or a craftswoman, and that's like a special thing you have, right? Like, what do you think about that?
Ali RoginCORRESPONDENT
5:37
Voters like Elizabeth Frost, a political consultant and activist in southern Ohio who worked on Kennedy's presidential campaign.
5:45
It was such an interesting experience to see this massive tent that Kennedy was able to cast.
5:52
People showed up to knock doors for Trump.
5:55
People who could barely stomach the thought of it because that was what they wanted to do for the sake of advancing MAHA policies.
Ali RoginCORRESPONDENT
6:08
Like many Kennedy supporters who adopted the Maha label, she feels the Trump administration is dismissing this valuable group.
6:15
You know, having Kennedy there beside you for your press conferences is not enough.
6:22
If Kennedy as the head of HHS isn't being fairly listened to on this issue, we've got a number of major problems for this relationship.
33:50
Well, you could've stayed on the outside.
33:52
Yeah, yeah.
33:53
I, I mean, to say...
33:55
To stay on the outside, you know, and maybe that looks a lot more like Jeff's vision, and maybe there's more that could've been done there.
34:04
Um, but in, in terms of working with the Democrats at that time, I, we weren't welcome.
34:11
And I think, you know, to, to what I would say to someone like Ro Khanna, I guess I would just go with what I said to Tim Ryan last night.
34:18
I, I asked, "Do you think the Democrats are actually ready to talk?" Because I don't know that they are.

29 MINS LATER

63:36
Are you hearing something that you wouldn't ordinarily hear? And is there something that you would say to them about where they can maybe be more useful that they should be saying right now? And Elizabeth, I wonder if I can start with you.
32:28
Do you think
32:29
I think to some of the Maha grassroots.
32:32
This is Elizabeth Frost who represents Maha
32:33
Ohio grassroots.
32:34
Oh, cool.
32:35
Hi.
32:36
Yes.
32:36
So what I'm hearing from some of the volunteers on the Kennedy campaign is, you know, we're getting some of those wins with Ibogaine and psychedelics.
