... with your own story and kind of how you found your faith over time.
1:36
I will do.
1:37
Um, like most people, born into a Catholic family, but it was just more of a, you know, ticking boxes.
1:44
Um, my mommy's family were great into their faith and they were, I suppose, pillars for me throughout my life.
1:51
And my mommy died whenever I was 11 years old, and I think that's what really propelled me deep into faith, um, not understanding that and feeling almost abandoned and obviously grief-stricken, and I grew up with all men, so with that came its own complications for me, because I felt very misunderstood.
2:14
Um, and just felt like I didn't have anybody kind of to go to with the questions of life.
2:20
So, I found myself stuck in my room.
6:13
How did you meet Sister Clare?
1:25
And then we start looking into dates.
1:27
And we came up with the 15th of August because it's the assumption of Our Lady.
1:33
And in the Catholic calendar, we celebrate that as a day of hope.
1:37
So that's why we coincided with that.
1:41
So please, God, it will be a day of hope for all.
1:43
And we know the community much needs it.
1:45
But then Sister Luma had asked us, would we then both put on like an acting workshop so that the young people could relate to us more rather than making it just about faith? and so that was her idea yeah so me and john are from the acting exactly so
3:10
YouTube, Spotify.
0:42
absolutely brilliant yeah it is going from strength to strength we were worried there for a while slightly that we weren't going to get a sponsor because i think nearly a year we were nearly a year without it uh james healy who's the owner of magic door studio he actually uh he was the one that convinced us to continue it because we felt at one point in time it was actually you know unfair to continue without without him receiving you know payment but uh
1:06
it was like he'd done basically the year without anything and to a podcast to make for us would have been like a thousand pound a week so he said he would become the sponsor basically um and just allowed us to continue we did reach out to him and tell him that we were going to stop because we didn't feel it's fair and he said please guys if this is about money forget about it i want you to stay so all thanks to him we're continuing it's great

Are there any of those conversations that particularly stand out to you, looking back on the last couple, say?
2:11
For me, there's a guy from the north called Anthony Crossy.
2:16
His really stuck with me just because I really felt like the Holy Spirit, I know it might sound mad, but was present in the room.
2:23
There was an energy, a fire, a wisdom that stayed with me and John long after he left the room to the point that we still talk about it today.
