Just throwing in a lot of references so you don't forget that it is a Star Wars book, but I think it works on its own without being a Star Wars
41:32
book.
41:32
Oh, it's so smart.
41:33
No, I think it's exactly what you want middle grade Star Wars to be, which is accessible, which is, you know, characters that they can relate to.
41:43
And then every book, spoiler alert, which I can spoil a lot of these, the series, which in a fun way, every book has like, here's Boba Fett, here's Great Admiral Thrawn, here's whoever.
41:53
And you're like, great, like, let's keep this as connected and as interesting as possible.
41:58
So yes, you have...

17 MINS LATER

58:58
And we were
24:54
But when did you first see all of Young Indy and Jack?
24:57
It must have been like when I was in college and finally had access to a library and they had the DVDs.
25:04
And so I was able to kind of just like turn through them and be like, okay, great.
25:07
I can, I did it.
25:08
You know, like, because this is kind of like weird monolith.
25:12
where you're like, oh, I should probably get to this.
25:14
If I like the same, I should probably get to this.

12 MINS LATER

36:55
It's really high up there.
14:35
Is that going to rotate? Is there going to be a new exhibit in there someday? And what does that look like? I'm not rushing what's in there out, but I look at this as filled with opportunity, and I have great curiosity for what's ahead.
14:50
Yeah, it really is.
14:52
I mean, that's the biggest, not disappointment with this, but he is so selfless is the wrong word for George Lucas, but he is so like, like, I wish there was THX stuff there.
15:02
I wish there was American graffiti stuff there.
15:03
I wish, I wish we could see more indie stuff.
15:06
I just wish there was more like Lucas present in that set.
15:10
If it's just 7%, I get it, you know, but, but like indicative of his full accomplishments, not just, not just star Wars.

1 HR 1 MIN LATER

75:49
four
12:33
Wow
12:33
...
12:33
in this prop archive.
12:33
So they just, they're like, "Here's a bantha now.
12:36
Here is Bo-Katan's throne." And I was like, "Okay, man.
12:38
We're-"We're rolling, and then that time they're like, "And here's Doug Chiang and Ludwig and Jon Knoll," and I'm like, "Oh my God, okay, sure.
12:46
I'm, I'm just gonna try to survive." Uh, and then they were like, "Okay." A small group of us then went to IMAX headquarters again and just watched the movie at 8:00 at night in Culver City, and the night before the premiere.

1 HR 12 MINS LATER

84:57
[laughs]
50:31
Thank God.
50:31
Good to know.
50:33
Um, but again, it, talking about this blending of the prequels and the original trilogy and the...
50:38
But like having Temuera Morrison actually play Boba Fett is one of those things that we were like, "Yep, he's of course, of course gonna do that one day." And then like he voiced, he revoiced, um, [smacks lips] Boba Fett's lines in Empire and Jedi for some of the DVDs or something.
50:51
But like he never really like suited up, right, as Boba.
50:55
And so him even just like walking around in that kind of repainted dark green armor, like I'm like, "Okay, man.
51:01
I feel really good about this.

9 MINS LATER

59:56
[laughs]
50:01
Thank God.
50:01
Um, but again, it... talking about this blending of the prequels and the original trilogy and the...

50:30
I feel really good about this.
50:32
I feel really good." Um, another thing that pops up, again, talking about, like, them bringing Krrsantan in, I'm like, "Great."

9 MINS LATER

59:15
Yep.
59:15
And in London, right? And so my joke at Star Wars Celebration London was like, you know, there was that, there's that big panel that opens Celebration, and I'm like, "Lizzo's performing, baby.
11:13
We're seeing that in the book of Boba Fett with Boba.
11:17
Yeah, that's a really great question.
11:19
And I feel like that was also a big talking point when the show was out.
11:22
For me, I feel like we had so many years of that mystique without seeing Boba.
11:27
And you could make the same argument for the prequels of like, hey, is the mystique gone? Because now we see him as a little boy going.
11:33
Yep.
11:34
uh the ton we you know um but i i feel i feel like the mystique is still there and yeah i totally agree but i would love to have seen more pedro pascal's face in the mandalorian but i think what the show does effectively is it it humanizes boba fett and because that helmet is off i think it could maybe take somebody like sarah and bring her a little closer into boba fett's proximity to say hey now i have a face to the name right like we have we have 20 to 30 years of mystique but like what is under the mask and that's one of the first things that happens when he comes out of the sarlacc is the jaw was take his helmet off not to get too far ahead but no yeah you know it's literally the first episode we are unmasking we're peeling back those layers of this character to say like who is he when he doesn't have the mask who is he when he doesn't have the armor um and that's the point initially of the show

41 MINS LATER

53:10
All right, Brad, what do you think? What are your thoughts, initial thoughts on this episode?
