I got in this band, Squirrel Bait, which is a hardcore band from Louisville of some renown.

And we ended up making records and touring all over the place and getting in Spin Magazine.

And that utterly ruined me for normal life.

I was like, okay, I love this.

How do I keep doing this? So then I got in a bunch of bands.

We were embraced by the Louisville music scene We didn't even have drums when we first started out.

And then we started drawing crowds of like 500 people and we're like, we got to get louder.

So then we got a drummer.
