Well, this was Frank's idea.

He proposed it.

And so I really appreciate him inviting me into this project with him.

But the idea is that we would help, both of us in our work are running into situations where the board and the president don't particularly understand the faculty's perspective on shared governance.

And we also believe that the faculty don't completely understand the board and the president's position relative to shared governance.

And this leads to a lot of miscommunication among people of goodwill and good intention.

That can really help reorient these processes in a way to meet the moment rather than remain fixed on a governance system that was perfect for 1957 or 1969 or something like that.
