So I don't know if that's for me.

Yeah, that's it.

And it's not for everybody.

So I'm not suggesting that you have to go down that route, but it's when I've done those posts, it's got me like disproportionate positive net benefit out of it.

And some of the physical tools that I use is literally just focusing on the breath when you read it, because as soon as you read it, It does hit you like that instantaneous, like smack in the face of wow, because some of them can be unbelievable.

Like, you know, I talk about when I came close to ending my life a few years ago, and maybe eight years ago, should I say, and I did a post about it.

And someone on TikTok said, shut up, you effing idiot, you should have carried on driving the car.

How much of your content is strategically planned out versus kind of in the moment I'm responding to something or I've just had this idea and I'm doing it now?

How do you view that with your new role?

role?Sure.

Um, yeah, I would say relative to culture, it's something that I'm probably the most excited about in, in the new role.

And really l- looking into the future is just, it- it's that Bob and I have a different style of the way that we approach some, some problems.

I think we have...

We share a, a passion for progress, and that's really similar.

But it's like we are highly aligned with the way that we, we approach the people side of it, right? And I think it's the, the way that we view respect, uh, of our people, um, fairness, doing what you say, things along those lines that I think are a really big part of our culture.

It's just the open-mindedness of how much the world's gonna change over the next 10 years, and we need to change with it and be open to it and embrace it.

[siren blaring] Detective Chief Inspector Adam Smith led the police investigation that saw five men jailed for up to 14 years each.

This was a significant group.

They were all about bringing cocaine into the country, redistributing it to their middle-market customer base, making their money from it, and then transferring that cash, as it predominantly is, back to Albania.

Albania.It sounds like a funny thing for a police officer to say, but they were hardworking.

They were good at what they did.

They did employ a network of couriers, but a small network at that.

So they were, uh, very disciplined and, until we got involved, quite successful.

It's really not what you'd imagine in such a lovely, leafy street just a few minutes away from the coast.

My story's probably a lot different to many others.

Like, I come from a good family.

I, I had a good upbringing, but my life took a turn, like I was a- abused in a school camp, and that sort of took me down a bit of a dark path.

[screen whooshes] The drugs came heavily before the club scene for me.

I was injecting at a very early age.

I would've been 16, I'd say.

Yeah.

talk me through that day and that mission that you were out on?

Yeah, so the mission was a disruption operation into a key leadership stronghold or area of Helmand Province.

And it was there as a smaller piece of a larger operation to distract some other coalitions to move through the area in the coming days.

And we inserted by night in Chinook helicopters.

We also had a platoon drive there in like a vehicle operation as sort of our support and like a QRF whilst we were actually in the stronghold fortifying a defensive position within the green belt.

So, the plan was to be there for 48 hours, and we landed around 2 a.m. by 2.30. We were a couple of kilometers from our landing point from the helos into the Greenbelt.

My understanding was a kilometer or two.

Mate, just give me your military perspective and then also your police perspective of what happened and the tragic events at Bondi.

Yeah, it's definitely having an impact.

Holding my nerve.

So we had Ofsted, the new framework, as you guys know, because I was in text contact all three days.

It was, I don't know, it was dreadful.

I didn't enjoy it.

I would say actually the head teacher felt differently and did not enjoy it, but like thought it was an improved experience.

lots of people it seems to be very like um kind of marmite right i mean i really dislike the new frame not necessarily the framework but the way it was implemented i didn't enjoy the inspection experience um my sort of the trust primary lead said at the time it was like one of the hardest inspections she'd ever seen um i felt like i was you know on some days on the verge of having physical fights of inspectors over elements that they were trying to unpick uh in in terms of what they saw in our school um and how my own sort of self-image of our school as well so that was all a very incredibly stressful experience came um i think in spring one it feels like yesterday but it's a long time ago now um where i've had to hold my nerve is uh not allowing any kind of like back or not allowing allowing sounds very like authoritarian not endorsing or kind of promoting any kind of backpedaling after Ofsted or laurel resting or an idea that so the school has been through a bit of like a miniature turnaround it wasn't in like the best state when there was a bit of a change of leadership which included myself it wasn't in the worst state either but it wasn't in the best place it's ever been and like you could sort of look at things now in you know July of year two as it were and say yeah yeah things are you know are all of the graphs that we we did for our icr and for off state and whatever they all all of our suspensions going the right direction our results going the right direction our attendance is going in the right direction it's really nice and it holding nerve this year has been to say it's just not it's still really not good enough We had a massive celebration in our ops meeting the other day when we found out that our SATS pass rate has gone up to 65% combined EXS.

And Adam, what was your experience in terms of like going on that trip? Where were you at when you decided to join in?

Well, Egypt had been on something that was in my sights for a few years, but didn't really know how I would get out there or who I would go with.

And then listening to one of Naha's classes, she had very briefly mentioned Egypt trip.

So right after the class, I messaged her right away and asked her about it.

I wanted to find out all the specs, if anybody could go, what I needed to do to get involved in this trip.

And so to me, stuff just kind of lined up.

I'm glad that I waited and allowed the universe to kind of guide me in the direction that I went.

So as the artist, is there like a certain image that you've drawn for the deck that is one of your favorites or a few of them? Is there any that like stand out in your mind perhaps as particularly useful for our tumultuous times or something like that?

yeah and adam are you still doing tattooing then or what what is kind of like marcella's got her little stuff what are what are you doing in your little world

Yeah, I've been tattooing for probably closer to about 20 years now.

Right now, I'm going through a busy cycle.

We used to have a busy season pre-COVID, and then after COVID, everything's just crazy.

So now we just get these little bursts, and whenever they happen, everything has to drop, and that's your main focus.

So, yeah, I've even had to put my yoga... aside right now, which I really don't need to be doing because I'm sitting there like this all day long.

But it happens, you know.

But, you know, Adam might have more to say about that because he's pretty disciplined and dedicated.

Yeah.

Initiate can mean, to me, a bunch of different things.

You have initiates, the initiations that you would go forth through with organizations and groups.

You have them that you would go through on more astral, spiritual levels.

And yeah, so it's almost as if... shedding skin, you know, almost like this rebirth after you've gone through it to where you're kind of...

I don't know, it's...

Real hard to explain.

Can I ask what was the hardest part about the trip for both of you? I don't
