In this episode, Jaz and the YMYB producer, Oli, discuss going to BIGSOUND 2026. What to expect, what they're excited for and how previous BIGSOUNDS were for them.
Now, Ollie, I know last year you came with me and we did the podcast at Big Sound then too.
How did you find your first Big Sound?
Hectic.
Yes.
In the best way.
Yes.
It's such a
good way to describe Big Sound, isn't it? It's just hectic and nonstop all the time.
Yeah.
Especially the way that I approach Big Sound.
I think, did you see that there was like different types of, you know, the way that people approach Big Sound? Like there's some people that I think show up and don't necessarily actually set meetings and some people who are like me and go to the complete other end.
Do you see a mixture of that?
Yeah, definitely.
It was especially people that you met on the street.
Like, oh, what are you doing? Oh, I've got these panels I'm going to.
You were basically saying, I've got all these meetings to go to.
I've got all these people to meet.
And like a lot of people go for the panels and the artists.
And yeah, other people like you go for the meetings as well.
Yes.
To meet up with everybody while everybody's there as well.
yeah absolutely because it is a really special conference in that it is it does have some amazing conference programming around panels that are great for everybody at any age of their career and you know whatever sort of stage or so whatever they do in the music industry which is really amazing i know you went to a few last year that really got you thinking about you know your artist career and also you know you being a producer of the podcast and things like that.
And then for myself, like I come more so now from that field of having the podcast, but also having my startup and then also being your artist manager as well.
If we're going to be completely transparent, typical music industry.
