Go karts and a new Challenge

Um, I, so for those that know of, uh, like CrossFit gyms have, like, what they call PR bells.

So you hit a personal record, you go over and you can ring the bell, and like it...

Or if it's, like, the first time you've done a movement-

... or something like that.

Like, you get a muscle up or something like that, you'll, or like, there's all kinds of different ones.

Um, you go over and you ring the bell.

So what I was thinking, and I talked to one of the owners about it, and I'm gonna do it, I just, I gotta put the time in to do it, is, uh, I wanna make a new-

Right

... a new bell for the gym.

Oh, very cool.

Like something bigger and a little bit more robust, maybe something a little louder.

What they have right now is just, like, a little tinny thing.

How do you make a bell? Do you blacksmith a bell?

Um, from what I've, I've done some research on it.

Looks like that you can.

Um, I've seen a lot of them in more of an ornament type size, like just basically shaping a little bit of sheet metal and then putting a, a knocker or whatever in between.

I don't know what the, I don't know what the proper term is for it, but, um-

Knocker sounds right.

Yeah.

Feel, feels right.

[laughs] A good set of knockers.

I don't know the anatomy of a bell, but I'm gonna look it up.

Um, but yeah, no, I'm, I was trying, 'cause we have some steel at the gym that I could use, but it's, like, way oversized for...

It's oversized for my forge.
