Do you keep asking yourself the same question every week — is it me, is it my job, is it just this season of life I'm in? That loop isn't a sign something's wrong with you. It's a sign you've been…
So let me explain.
The world is loud and it sets the pace.
And this is, you know, just how I see it, but hear me out.
In the last five years or so, the pace of which we've been going at things has become about 10 steps faster, maybe more because of technology and social media.
And we're just sprinting to keep up.
And for many of us, particularly the millennial, zennial generation, We're starting to come down from this cloud, if you will.
And we're starting to feel the overload and the strain from constant striving.
And we're like, yeah, I think I want to get off this roller coaster now.
Like our culture has taught us that success means doing it all and doing it all well.
So not just working hard, doing everything.
Being the employee who never drops the ball, the mom who never misses a thing, the wife who keeps always present, the friend who shows up.
And when you can't do it all, when something gives because something will always eventually give, the shame of not being able to handle it, whatever it is, it creeps in.
I want to say this with a lot of grace because I don't think it's coming from a bad place.
There are so many talented women out there right now, building businesses, making life shifts and showing the world exactly how they get their life together across social media.
And a lot of them are genuinely trying to help.
But when your feed is full of that, it's so easy to feel.
like you're behind, like everyone else has figured out the formula and you're just stuck.
But here's what I want you to hear instead, because your exhaustion is not proof that you're doing it wrong.
A lot of the time, it's proof that you've actually been carrying more than you were ever designed to carry.
And it's time to conduct an assessment, right? It's time for a mental reset, right? So let's talk about the loop for a second.
