Welcome back to the Women in Wildlife Podcast! In this episode, joint-CEOs Alayne and Amy share how their charity 'Lion Landscapes' came to life and why their work goes far beyond protecting lions…
We are actually, well, we're just talking about this, getting ready to go away to the Northern Territory because Eliza and I and a couple of other girls are doing the Larapinta Trail.
Not the whole thing.
We're doing about seven days.
I think it's, how many camps is it, Eliz? Like, six different spots along the trail that we're staying at.
So we're getting ready, and we're just talking about how we're excited but al- equally a little bit, um, nervous because one of our days is about 30 kilometers.
[laughs]
Yeah.

[laughs]

it is notorious for being obviously, like, very hot and arid and long and rocky and steep.
Um, but the whole-
Mm
... trail, yeah, I think it's, like, 230 kilometers, but we're doing, um, about half, so about a hun- just a bit over 100 kilometers with our packs.
Um, but yes, we are very excited-
[laughs]
... and we hope that we will be recording another episode for you because we'll be alive.
Um-
Yeah
