A 90-pound dog gets rescued, erasing water debt, and a lucky family.
So a 90-pound dog named Otto, we've had a lot of animal rescues lately in our good news.
Well, it was rescued after falling down a steep cliff in Washington State, and he was stranded about 30 feet below the top.
A policeman was able to climb down the unstable terrain full of loose dirt and tangled ivy to reach the dog and then stayed with him for hours while rescue crews worked on a plan.
The Washington State Animal Response Team brought in specialized equipment, and then rescuers used a rope system anchored to a pickup truck to carefully lift Otto to safety.
Also, 4,300 households in Pittsburgh earning close to the federal poverty level were just automatically enrolled in a new program that can wipe out their existing water debt.
All they have to do is keep up to date with their current water bill and their past debt can be forgiven.
Back in 2018, they made headlines when they won $2.5 million on a scratch-off ticket.
But apparently, one huge lottery win was not enough for this family because they just won a $675,000 lump-sum payout from a $4 scratch-off ticket called Set for Life.
Their names are Angelina and Edward Leto, and Edward said he didn't believe it at first and thought his wife might be joking.
