It's such a Nigerian... confidence in me it's our own theory of self-esteem that why should i care what you think if my sustenance why should i put my happiness on you if my sustenance does not come from you and that's the theme of her whole life look look i know that most of you are not angels i do that And they also know this.

And they know that those who expect them to be angels are lying, hypocritical, double standarding or any other such thing.

that what people think, what society thinks is irrelevant to how they should live their lives.

Or I used to say in the joy retreat, people would say, oh, I can't do this because of society.

For those who are in there, I'll say, just take 100 naira, run outside and go and buy two bottles of society.

Even if society has expressed those opinions, unless society is using political means or economic means, to coerce you.

And even if society tries to coerce you with politics, economics, and all of that, you can choose to earn less money, to be less like, to accept your exclusion for the benefit of remaining your own person.

And I thought to myself, you know, I have tried over the years to cast my desire to be, and I say tried because, you know, all of us try every day.

So, but especially if you're a kind of person who grew up wanting to be part of the establishment, the people that people respect, the people that people like, the people that people look up to, the people that they invite at their speaking again, at their interviews, at their conference.

And I had to learn many years ago that the cost of that desire, because I want to be among, because I want to be at the establishment, I don't live the life I want to live.

I reduce, adjust, adapt in order to be acceptable to people who really don't matter.
