Stephen GoldsmithHostJordan East HarringtonGuestI said at the start there that it feels a bit dramatic to say this was a much win game.
I thought both teams in the first half in particular were really, really nervy.
I thought they played safe to the extreme and I think subconsciously in the back of both sides.
in the minds of both teams would have been don't lose the game certainly Sunderland conceding in the manner they did late against Ipswich and Fulham knowing they've got a hard run coming up as well and I thought Mick I don't know what you think that the performance reflected that in the first half

It was good for us to come out on the right side of it because it's mad how much the results dictate the mood, isn't it? Because had we not come away from the game with three points yesterday, I think, like you said, it would have opened a can of worms in terms of, well, we still can't break down the team that's sitting deep against us.

and it would have been a case of, oh, well, is Lebris going back to the days of being a bit tactically stubborn and stuff like that? But actually, with the way the game changed and the introduction of Diarra and Isidore, you can come away and say, no, Lebris, very good substitutions, good tactical flexibility, and we found a solution to the problem that Fulham had.

I'm going to start talking about connections now, aren't I? But yeah, first off, it was two teams, I think, like very much feeling each other out.

But equally what I will say, other than that one opportunity that Fulham fashioned in the first half that they should have done better with.

McEaly was absolutely outstanding in the centre-half and Mooney, I think, had a very impressive fourth debut.

So, yeah, it wasn't a classic and it's not a game that I'm going to be kind of reminiscing about in five years time or anything but it's in every season you need to come out on the right side of results like that and we did
yeah I agree what do you think Jordan because it's you know it's interesting what Mick said there because it was one of those games where you just thought well initially as I said on the reaction I thought it's the most nil-nil game I've ever seen in my life but there was always just in my mind thinking somebody's going to nick it here and let's be honest it could have been either team it felt like even though I do think something with a better team but it's still I could still sense something like that coming at either end
And then when Isidore missed that chance when he hit the post, I'm thinking, was that the moment for us? And are we going to get another one? But luckily, five minutes later, we get the exact same chance.
