Maybe taking a moment here to take some, big belly breaths in through the nose and out.
Just finding our way back to our bodies in through the nose again and out.
Last one in through the nose and out.
Just allowing the breath to find its own natural rhythm again.
Not controlling, we're not trying to fix or change anything in this moment, just arriving as we are.
And as we try to connect deeper to our bodies, we'll begin with a body scan, starting with the top of our heads I don't know how often we all think about the top of our heads, but using any tension that might be up there, just imagining your scalp releasing and having that travel down your temples, softening the eye sockets, unclenching the jaw, maybe letting the tongue hang and release from the roof of the mouth.
As you breathe in and out, just feeling what it feels like to create some ease.
So travel down the neck, the upper back and the shoulders.
Each breath in, maybe finding a point of tension and each breath out, Finding a little bit of release.
So we move down the chest as it expands with each in-breath.
And exhale, releases.
Feeling what it feels like to really feel our breath in our lungs.
Releasing tension as we travel down the back.
into the hips.
Just returning to our bodies.
Feeling the wave of ease travel down our arms into our hands.
Down the legs, into the feet.
Just feeling the body being held by the chair or the cushion.
And with these next few breaths, just experiencing the body as a whole.
Sort of imagining and feeling the breath as it comes in and traveling through the whole body.
Each breath bringing some ease, some peace.
And just taking a moment to feel what it's like to set down the day for these moments to just focus on the breath.
Breath is our constant anchor.
It's something we can continually come back to over and over again.
