In so many ways, meditation is returning to the most simple human thing possible, just sitting and breathing.
And in so many ways, it really is just that simple.
Sometimes our minds like to make it a bit more complicated.
So just allowing the thinking mind to fall to the background.
Letting that rhythm of the breath be your anchor for the meditation.
Softening the muscles of the face, the eyes.
The muscles of the mouth and the jaw.
And the shoulders and the shoulder blades is feeling the weight of the arms and the hands.
And softening through the stomach and the lower belly.
And then scanning down into the legs, just feeling the contact with your chair.
And relaxing through the upper legs, the knees, the lower legs, all the way down through the feet.
And let's just bring the awareness to the whole body.
