3 years after a 6 year old child shot his teacher in Newport News, Va we finally get the full picture. Bodycam released this week shows this was something more than ADHD.
She recovered and all this other stuff, and she won a civil case, blah, blah, blah.
Why is this relevant? Why are people talking about it? Most of the topic around this and most of the question people are asking i-is, is about body cam footage.
I-If-- I tell you what, if I was a police officer and I was in, in a district that didn't have body cams, I would insist on having it legally to protect myself of what's going on.
And in a case like this, more of a societal kind of thing, I guess you'd say, it really, really focuses the question on is ADHD being used now for an excuse for really bad behavior? Because this is what the mother of this little monster had blamed the incident on back in 2023.
What's new is we can look at this and say, "Oh, that's not-- That's something worse than ADHD.
But haven't you seen it? Haven't you heard it in your personal life? Do you hear that excuse all the time? Maybe not even for criminal behavior, but just bad beh-- or bad listening or bad not paying attention or anything.
