This was only a few months ago from the time I'm writing this.
I work an overnight job at a warehouse, so I'm usually home sleeping during the day and am awake between 6:00 PM to about 9 or 10:00 AM even on my days off because I like to keep my body on the same schedule.
This night I was at work until 4:00 AM.
When I got off, I headed straight home, getting there at just about 4:15.
All the roads were empty and quiet.
However, when I got up to my house, there was a car parked right next to my driveway.
I slowed down as I passed it and turned in, getting a better look at it.
It was an old black sedan with heavily tinted windows.
I couldn't see through any of them, and all its lights were off.
I pulled into my garage and parked, taking one more look down the driveway before heading inside.
The way this neighborhood was laid out, there was a decent amount of spacing between each home, so usually it was pretty easy to park right by whatever house you're visiting or whatever.
So parking right by my house seemed really unnecessary when there were so many open places to park along the road.
Initially, I dismissed it as someone visiting my neighbors.
Maybe they had a party or something and all the spots on the road closer to their house were taken beforehand.
I checked one more time out the windows that morning about an hour later and the car was gone.
The rest of that day went by as usual.
I slept until 6:00, then got ready for another night at work.
When I pulled out of the driveway to leave for work, the car wasn't there, so I really had no reason to think about it anymore.
I went through my work night, which was a bit more tiring than usual, but I was looking forward to my night off tomorrow.
The shift dragged on until I finally got out and drove home.
Again, it was the middle of the night and no cars were out at all.
But when I got home, that same old car was there parked in the same spot as last night.
I did what I did before, slowly passing it and trying to see in the windows, but it looked no different than before.
This time, after parking in the garage, I walked down to the end of the driveway just to get a closer look.
As I was walking there, I thought I saw something move inside the car behind the tinted window.
