So let's speak about the relationships we have with ourselves, right? I know for me personally, I am incredibly hard on myself.
Um, yeah, I have expectations for myself, um, in a way that I don't hold other people to the same standard.
And I think that can be a really tough place to be in if you treat yourself that way, right? Because if other people make mistakes, if other people, you know, do wrong and all that kind of stuff, there's always, you have an infinite well of compassion and empathy and forgiveness to pull from, you know, should that be the case for them and all of that kind of stuff.
We charge ourselves to the highest degree, essentially, and bring ourselves down to the lowest pits of the earth, you know? When it feels like things aren't working out for us.
treating yourself like you are a parent and a parent of yourself right and you think if i was a parent to my child what would i say to them if they made a mistake how would i treat them how would i show love to them and you treat that yourself in that same way you know um rather than kind of being dismissive or argumentative or um just you know aggressive with yourself about certain things like Oh, you know, if I miss a deadline, if I, I get so insane.
Like if I'm, if I do something wrong, if I'm late also, like punctuality is incredibly important to me.
something could have happened and all of that um that caused things to just kind of move in a different direction but it's like I feel like I should have I should have done better I should have planned better I should have you know all of that and I just I don't want to I don't want to do that with myself anymore I think that we can have high expectations right for ourselves so you think you should be at a certain place in your life um you should be doing certain things at a certain point all of that kind of stuff and so when that's not happening it's kind of like You know what I'm saying? And I think that type of relationship with yourself can be harmful, right? Because you're always stressed.
You know, you're always just looking for the next thing and all that kind of stuff.
Certain achievements and accolades and stuff, because it's like, it's on to the next, it's on to the next.
