Episode 21: Strategic Planning 101: Why Every Woman CEO Needs a Written Plan

For the next few episodes, we are going to be talking about strategic planning.

I, in all honesty, am a rather fly-by-the-seat-of-my-pants kind of business owner.

I make a lot of decisions from gut instinct and my intuition, and those things have really paid off for me.

However, when you are building a team, and when your business gets closer and closer to seven figures and beyond that seven-figure mark, you must have a strategic plan.

You must do planning.

You cannot run by gut feeling alone and just do what your intuition tells you to do, because you have a whole team that is relying on you, and your team will feel uncertain about your leadership if you do not have a plan in place that they feel confident in and that they understand where the business is headed in the coming year.

So I am going to, for these next several episodes, we are going to walk through what a strategic plan is, how you can write one for your business, and each section of the strategic planning template that I use in all of the business retreats that I have run.

So I created a yearly business planning workbook for the first retreat that I ever ran for business owners, which was, I believe in 2020 I created this.

And every year I go back to it and I edit a little bit.
