Bee Smart

Bumblebees, Jeff, whether whether they're disappearing or not, we're still studying them in labs.

We're not we're not worried about the population so much that we're not putting them in labs.

Sure.

What are we studying them about now, though? I thought all we cared about is how why they were dying.

Yeah, and now we don't.

Now we're looking at them and we're like, hey, what'd that brain do? hey, bumblebee, what that brain do? Because we know some things about bumblebees, right? We know about the waggle dance of the bumblebee, right? Oh, yeah.

I think we did a story on that many moons ago.

Many moons ago, the waggle dance of the bumblebee is bumblebees come back from looking for food, looking for honey, and they do a little waggle dance.

And based on the waggle dance, the other bees look at it and they go, oh, okay, I know where that honey is.

Let's go grab that honey.

We know that they can cooperate with one another.

We've seen that.

We've seen them push Legos around together as a family.

Yeah.

I don't know if we talked about that on the show, but it was pretty good.

Bumblebee Lego building.

It's the coolest.

It's the coolest thing in the world.

Now, it does take them a really long time to build like a Millennium Falcon.

Yeah, but in fairness, it took me a really long time to build my Lego Millennium Falcon.

But now, like, think about

Bee doing it.

Yeah.

I imagine it's difficult when your little bee fingers are full of honey, you know, because it sticks to the Lego pieces.

That's right.
