God Will Never Leave You | Overnight Prayer Retreat

The Book of Psalms 4:8, "I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for you alone, O Lord, makest me dwell in safety." Tonight, I can lie down in peace.

I do not have to sleep in fear because the Lord makes me dwell in safety.

My safety is not dependent upon my ability to stay awake.

My security is not dependent upon my ability to see everything around me because God is watching over me, and because God is watching, I can rest.

"The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

He maketh me lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside still waters.

He restores my soul: He leadeth me in the path of righteousness for His name's sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of my enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever." The Lord is my shepherd tonight.

I am not alone.

I am not abandoned.

I am not exposed.

Even in the darkest valley, God is with me.

His presence is greater than the darkness.

His power is greater than my fear.

His protection is greater than anything that could come against me.

His goodness and mercy are following me, and they will follow me all the days of my life.
