Yeah, enjoyed being back in with the team, and yeah, um, a lot of learning over the fir- first couple weeks obviously.
Um, you know, a lot of change in personnel, and obviously with the coaches and whatnot, so it's been good to get to know them, and, um, sort of understanding-
... you know, a bit more, um, how we wanna play and, and what type of brand of, you know, s- rugby we wanna play.
So, um, yeah, been loving it so far and, you know, two relatively good results to start off our campaign is, yeah, it's been good.
[smacks lips] Yeah, yeah, it's all about, um, clear intentions around effort and intent.
Um, and we wanna play fast at times, and, um, understanding, I guess, the important role that I've got within that.
Um, so making sure that I'm in the, you know, best condition possible to, to be able to deliver, um, the expectation around that.
You know, he's not gonna beat around the bush and, um, you know, if he needs you to work harder, he's gonna tell you, and, um, we've got some ways of measuring that as well.
So, um, everyone's held accountable, which is, um, great for, I guess, well, like I said, just keeping people accountable for what we're trying to achieve and what goals, um, we're working towards.
And does he encourage you to be yourself? You've obviously scored a couple of tries embracing that.
What's it like, or maybe a wee bit different to last year or the last couple of years in your eyes?
Yeah, I think, um, you know, it's pretty clear on the, there's definitely a balance between, you know, we've got our structure, um, and what in place, but you know, the, I guess, the, the eyes up rugby, um, the stuff that, you know, um, New Zealand, um, boys and, you know, men and kids and stuff are so good at, um, being able to implement that in our game as well, um, which is quite refreshing, I guess, in such a, you know, game with, um, it's so tech- technical nowadays, and, you know, there can be a lot of structure behind it.
So to be able to play what's in front of you, um, see a picture in front of you and be able to take it, um, without second-guessing yourself or doubting if it's gonna be the right decision, um, I guess it's quite exciting and, you know, pl- being able to play with that confidence, um, can definitely reflect in, um, you know, I guess, well, some of the, obviously the way that we've been attacking, but how we're scoring points as well.
You know, like we scored, you know, Will's third try was off a quick tap, which, you know, in the past maybe we would've just would've kicked to the corner and, you know, gone for a lineout maul or something like that.
So, um, yeah, it's exciting and it's fun to be a part of, but at the same time, we've al- always gotta be on our toes.
