Now, the biggest change that was announced was about 10 days ago, YouTube said that they're changing their monetization thresholds.

So that means that the minimum requirements for you to meet, to be eligible for things like ad revenue, where YouTube is sharing their ad revenue with you and literally giving you a payout every month, the minimum requirements to be able to say, Yeah, I want that are going to be going up starting in February.

Now, I know that might sound like a gut punch if you're not monetized but you were hoping to be monetized so it's a little bit of a punch in the gut i i completely understand that but i want to reframe something for you because i think there's this idea in people's minds and Look, my clients are business owners.


And the truth is, YouTube ads is not going to give you much to the bottom line of your business.

If you are creating content just for the sake of getting views, then yes, the monetization requirements are going to matter.

I'm telling you this because as a multi six figure business owner, YouTube is buying maybe one week's worth of groceries for me a month.

But just to give you some kind of like context here, I have had payouts from my YouTube ads as high as $1,500 a month.

The topics that you're covering and the audience that you're attracting and advertisers, like, the audience that they want to put their ads in front of and what they're willing to pay for those.
