Yeah, like while all of these internal changes are happening, you know, like life still keeps moving outside.

And then one thing that your book talks about is how quickly we're expected to bounce back.

Like while we're physically recovering, emotionally adjusting, you know, learning to care for newborns.

And often preparing to return to work because, you know, in the U.S. where we live, I only gave myself six weeks.

You know, I wish I had more time to like, how does the lack of paid parental leave affect families? And why do you think America approaches postpartum support so differently than many other countries? Because I did read this in your book.

So this is something that I really, really urge younger women or women who are thinking about becoming a mom who are working women.

In the US, we are the only developed nation on planet Earth without maternity leave legislation.

Like, what am I going to do? What am I going to do? Because it's like, I really can't stop

One thing that's interesting that I've noticed too, I work in the corporate space and a corporate trend right now is companies will have these blended teams of some people who sit in the US, but some of the team members might sit in other countries,

And so women are now seeing in this more global kind of culture that we have in the corporate space, women are now seeing their peers in their exact same role get two years of maternity leave, six months of maternity leave.

They get to stop working and take care of their body and protect their health and their survival by stopping work in the second trimester.

And they in that same role are not protected in their country here in the US.

And so they have to wait for their water to break on the floor at the office.
