So let's get into it and let's kick it off with the NRL grand final because we did see who performed and look, congratulations to the Roosters, the men's team, and more importantly, the women's team who are now premiership winners.
But I guess what everyone was waiting to see was, was what happens with the performance.
And that was all about raising awareness for motor neurons disease, which was very touching.
Even though it was a beautiful tribute and an important message, it definitely didn't stack up to anywhere near what they had with the AFL Kylie performance.
One thing I didn't really appreciate was the shade they tried to throw to Tones and I by playing that little snippet of Dance Monkey and I feel like there's a lot of misinformation going on around this.
So the line is that Tones and I turned this down because she didn't want to play Dance Monkey but her management have come out and said that she had a prior commitment and they even said that it was with Macklemore in America which makes a lot of sense because obviously as we know He is doing that Free Palestine tour, which sold out in moments.
And I do wonder if they're trying to dig up some controversy because the NRL just didn't really have much of a plan for this performance.
It wasn't those grand big performances that we've seen in the past, especially when they covered Simply the Best by Tina Turner.
Because in the past, of course, there was that very famous deal with her to come and do that song for the NRL.
