So we had a whole bunch of things that we were kind of like lumping underneath this umbrella of Q4 where you are at.
And that can be emotionally, physically, financially.
You could still be back at figuring out what day of the week it is and what your name is.
We all have our starting points, but Beth, you came in with like an employee conversation that was like, oh, what do I do with this in Q4, right? That was your contribution to this conversation.
So what was a little bit of the overview?
Yeah, I mean, I guess I would fall under the category of employee and doctor management and how that's going in quarter four.
So we're very busy at my practice and we always struggle a little bit.
Like, I feel like my doctors struggle with adding on emergencies.
So we've made... kind of a rule that we've had for a very long time because we see like a block of appointments in the morning, a block of appointments in the afternoon, a block of appointments in the evening.
And depending on the doctor's schedule for that day, they're usually in two or three of those blocks.
And for each block, for each doctor, we will add on one emergency that the front desk is allowed to just do without asking.
That's like the rubric we've created.
We created a tiered system of like This is this, you know, a one emergency, like a true emergency.
This is like a P2 emergency, not as emergent.
This is a P3, not actually emergent, but the people really want to come in.
And the doctors have all signed off on that.
And we still always kind of struggle with it.
Like there are times where...
You know, their day is booked and they get one added and they lose their mind or they'll be like, I'm really busy.
I can't see an emergency today, even though they haven't had one added and they're supposed to be able to add one without asking.
And it's this balance, right, of like not wanting to overwhelm my doctors and wanting them to.
to feel like they have some autonomy in their schedule, but also trying to keep it fair for our staff to know when they can schedule their other doctors to not feel like they're the only ones seeing emergencies, our clients to not be turning them away when they need us.
This in and of itself could be a whole topic, but honestly, the team dynamics are a challenge.
That's what I'll leave that out.
Always.
