So how many of you in a moment of anger have ever lashed out at your siblings or your parents or even your friends? In that moment, it felt so good to get it off your chest and to tell them exactly what you thought.

How about when somebody made you really upset or caused you a lot of pain, did you feel like forgiving them? Probably not.

I remember being in college and I was going out to eat with the man who is now my husband.

It was late at night, not many people in the restaurant, and my server was doing a pretty poor job.

And I let her know exactly what I thought right in front of the girl she was training.

The server started to cry and it wasn't until that moment that I realized that I should have kept my emotions in check.

If I'd stopped to put myself in her shoes, I might have realized it was late at night.

Maybe something hard was going on in her life and she was just trying to get through her shift.

I'm so thankful I learned from that day because that was the last time anything like that ever happened.

It was in that moment as a new Christian that I realized I can't treat people like that.
