Below Deck Med S11 Ep08: Are You the Potato or the Egg?

Amy, were you surprised to see that it was Luke be the one to go? Do you

know what? I actually was surprised that he went.

I mean, we talked about it last week.

I thought Sandy would convince him to work through it, stick around until she had a new deckhand, those sorts of things.

I was pretty shocked at how kind of quickly they came to this conclusion.

I'm not convinced we've seen the last of Luke.

This sounds like a conspiracy theory.

Yeah.

I'm not letting go.

Don't let go, Jack.

Anywho.

All right.

Let's get into the episode.

So we see Luke in the bridge with Sandy telling her that he thinks he should leave.

because it's interrupting the flow of the boat.

And yes, as we just alluded to, Sandy

agrees with me.

She kind of jumped on it when she didn't know how to handle the situation.

He just solved it for her and she jumped at that.

Yeah, I was wondering, like, does she actually respect his decision or was it an easy out for her so she didn't have to fire him on camera? I can imagine a bit of both.

She's like, oh, you're saving me this.

That's why

I respect you.

Yeah, right? Like, thank you for that.

But she does say, hey, I would like to keep it a secret for now and tell the crew, like, at the tip meeting.
