This week’s episode will be focusing on how we prepared the days leading up to our exam, wellness tips & a cheat sheet for some of the highest lead topics in lung cancer, breast cancer, vwF…
So the boards this year are, again, evil back-to-back days, November 17th for heme, November 18th for onk.
And so in terms of the breakdown of the test, it's four blocks.
They're each 60 questions for a total of 240 questions.
And the top four onk topics based on the blueprint are GI, 14%, breast, 13%, GU, 12%, lung, 11%.
And the top heme topics based on blueprint, 35%, are neoplasm.
Absolutely.
So use those blueprints to your benefit, especially in the last few weeks going into boards.
So if you really need to hone in on a few things, make sure it's high yield, not something that's 1% where you can probably just guess or freshen up on the test and narrow things out.
So again, like you said, Corinne, they're back to back days.
This is something you guys need to be focusing on.
Also be prepared for the marathon of reading vignettes.
I think that honestly was one of the biggest hurdles for me, sitting still at a computer reading long vignettes for hours one day and going right back and doing it hours again.
So the days leading up, remember to review your cheat sheets.
Hopefully you guys have been making them.
Reveal all those high yield topics.
Do some test out questions just to get in the rhythm of answering really things out if you're not sure and go from there.
And so this episode, we're just going to cover a few topics that we felt were really high yield when we took the boards.
