Jerry ParkerHostAdamHostI'm going to keep it a little shorter this month because we've got Mike on.
And so, you know, my head is still kind of spinning from April.
I see here you've broken it down by the week, you know, week one tariff shock and commodity explosion.
So, you know, as... as that week title describes, you know, oil price up massively.
Then you've got week two, the ceasefire reversal.
Obviously, crude is down then again massively.
Week three, we've got the trend cycle re-engaging and more volatility in these commodities markets.
And then week four, the straights close again.
And we get a rally in energy and then a fall in the metals markets.
So a real whipsaw for markets.
But actually, the trend-following systems held up really, really well.
Well, thank goodness we did not crash and burn in April.
And we have, look, the whole spectrum of trend-following programs performed well.
in the month of April.
I see here Classic Trend Index up 6.7%, which is obviously a fantastic result.
I think reversing a slightly down number from the previous month.
And we did in fact have the highest return versus the benchmark, the peers that we benchmark against.
And so that is very, very nice.
And the year-to-date and quarter-to-date performance is looking good.
You can see there on the chart a continued outperformance relative to the peers, not just nominally, but on long-term risk-adjusted measures, whether they be MARV or SHARP or SWATINO or whatever those other performance metrics that you want to look at.
And it's just nice to be coming into the end of our fiscal year, which is a June year in Australia for reporting.
We're coming in with some pretty good numbers, which I think all the investors are going to be happy with, apart from having to receive a distribution, which will have some tax impacts, but you can't avoid that.
You can't avoid the tax man in this business.
So, you know, that's pretty much a wrap for the classic trend index.
Perfect.
