Catherine LlewellynHostWell, that reminds me as well of the tone in your book where you're going back and forth between different experiences.
experiencing the range of human experience um on a journey you know which is yeah more real actually than I was broken I did a lot of work got over myself now I'm okay which is just sort of yeah I don't know hallmark boring well

that um you know, I've gone through periods where I think, okay, I'm doing really well.

I'm meditating all the time and then I'll fall off it or I'll go on the road or, you know, and a lot of the book is about those kinds of dualities, like these two personalities I've had, the rock and roll, rock and roller, who's like staying up, you know, last man standing at the bar, right? You know, that kind of my rock and roll personality and then my contemplative personality.

And I started writing the book just because I was seeing these, you know, it's so funny that I have these two different, you know, people in me.

And, um, and over time I realized that, you know, it's the same, I'm having the same experience.

It just, you know, why do I think that that self, um, like being able to, to understand myself only happens when I'm in a quiet place.

You know, sometimes I get great lessons when I'm in, you know, uh, about myself in these other situations.

Um, and I think that especially I see it in, um, in kind of spiritual movement or spiritual opening as we go through life, we can think that we've kind of backtracked, you know, at some point, like, wow, I was feeling really open and aware.

And now I'm like really, you know, obsessed with being judgmental, being judgmental about these situations or, you know, like, where did all of that spirituality go? I guess I'm back to square one.

It's just a part of it is these these things kind of opening up, you know, more and more.
