On July 19, 2016, the Juhin family returned from their vacation and began unpacking.
She had decided to study abroad, and her mother wanted to have a conversation with her about it.
However, Sierra, being a very athletic person, had recently purchased a bike but had not yet had the chance to really use it.

Josh informed Sierra's mom that Sierra had left his house a little before 7 p.m., and he hadn't seen or heard from her since then.

Her first instinct was to reach out to her parents, Sierra's grandparents, who live nearby.
